ShowBox is an application for Android and iOS that allows one to watch free movies and videos online through a working internet connection. However, for those who would like to watch their ShowBox movies and videos on TV, they have the option of using the device known as the Chromecast for that purpose.
What is Chromecast?
The Chromecast is a small (about the size of the thumb) device that is used for showing entertainment and applications on one’s device and displaying them on to the television set. The device is inserted directly into the television set’s port for HDMI and is compatible for use with Android phones as well as Android Tablets, Apple devices such as iPhones, Macintoshes and iPads, laptops with Windows or even a Chromebook.
Chromecast is compatible with a number of entertainment and media related applications such as HBO GO, Youtube, Netflix and Pandora and it allows one to show what is on their portable device and project it on to the larger screen of the television set. Any website can be shown on the TV set if you are using a laptop as your source device and if you are using your phone or your tablet, then you can mimic your screen to your TV set.
What is AllCast?
Allcast is an application that acts as an intermediate for your portable device and your television set. It is an app that allows you to direct photos as well as videos right on to the television screen and it can cast data on to devices such as the Roku, Smart TVs and yes, the Chromecast.
A different application than AllCast may be used so long as it allows one to cast videos from their phone applications into the Chromecast device so that the Chromecast can run the video on the television set.
How to use Chromecast to watch ShowBox App movies and videos on TV
Once all the necessary applications have been downloaded and installed and once a Chromecast has been purchased and set up on the TV, watching videos on ShowBox through the television will only take a couple of short, simple steps.
Select ShowBox. First things first, select the show box icon in order to open and initialize the application.
Wait for it to load. Allow the program to initialize itself for your use. A couple of seconds is often enough for it to get itself going.
Select a video or movie. Choose a video that you would like to watch on the ShowBox interface. There are a variety of movies and episodes from a multitude of shows.
Pick a quality. You should choose a quality appropriate for the speed of your internet connection in order to minimize buffering and loading times for the video. Set it to low if your internet connection is a bit on the humble side but set it to high if you are confident that it has the capacity to do so.
Choose watch now. Make sure that the option for using the internal player is not selected
Select AllCast as the application to use in opening or playing the video. Select your Chromecast device from the list of devices that the AllCast will detect.
Your video from ShowBox will now play on your Television.
